   First things first: Actual jump capacity for a 12V battery is 500 Amps and this is clearly written on the jump pack itself. 6000 is total BS and absolutely absurd. Second, I went ahead and split it open to see what she really had on the inside (photos attached), shes half hollow. Battery pack model number could not be found online to confirm rated capacity. On the device its self it lists the capacity in watt hours instead of the standard milliamp hours (deceptive) so we divide the confirmed battery pack voltage of 14.8V by the listed 99.9Wh to get 6,750mAh of theoretical capacity at the base voltage. To translate that to typical power banks for phones that run at 5V, assuming 100% efficiency, we get 19,980mAh theoretical. Most batteries perform at around 80% of their rated capacity so 15,984mAh effective capacity from day one, with a slight degradation with every charge. Companies usually list theoretical, which they have done at 27,000mAh in the listing, this is using the old 3.7V standard that absolutely nothing runs on. So that number, too, is bologna. Lots of Chinese companies are trying to pull this at the moment, listing the 3.7V capacity very large and then the 5V capacity very small. The laser engraved serial number is just a date, so it’s BS as well. With that out of the way, the build quality is very good. It’s a big device, screen only shows percentage capacity and charging speed and the characters are like an inch tall. It has the largest gauge car battery jump leads that Ive ever seen on one of these devices, which should improve the duty cycle tremendously. [I’ve seen smaller that give you a 3 second jump every 5 minutes (whaa?)] This one should do better and does have a built in overheat protection lockout to prevent too much damage. Whats unique about this pack is the cigarette lighter/power port built in plus a dongle that gives you a second. Comes with a car charger that features a second USB port for your phone and two USB-C cables. Pretty basic port setup but should perform as a long lasting battery bank for phone charging during power outages. You turn the flash light on with a 4-5 second power button hold down and then tap power button to cycle to SOS and strobe modes, no dim setting for a night light, its either full on or off. If they were honest with the numbers it would be a 4.5 star for me, lack of features like an air pump but also a high price knock the half star. Because they think shoppers are stupid and gullible, its a 3 stars for me.

   I have this as part of my trunk emergency kit. This along with the air pressure pump fits the emergency kit. I can’t tell you how handy this would have been over the years where you find yourself with a dead battery. Less so these days but you just never know. It brings me some comfort knowing that in the event of a battery failure (on my part or someone else) that I have the ability to boot the vehicle. As of yet I’ve had no opportunity to actually use the booster – certainly not hooking it up for fun so it’ll have to wait until the event finally happens. I’ve used it though for charging up phones and will use in a power outage situation as a big power bank. Be sure to check it every once in a while for full chrage , easy to forget in the car. A must for any emergency kit.

   If this really has the stated capacity, its a lot of power! I have no reason to doubt other than todays advertising claims. I will claim it to be a beast! Jumped 2 pick ups and a v6 Jeep and it still showed 3/4 charge! Everyone should carry one of these! Plus the added convenience of phone charging can be a life saver (even mind saver lol) during power outages and emergencies, which is often the time ya forget to charge your phone. Yup lifes always ready to throw curve balls, its great to have the equipment to swing and hit em outta the park!

   This AstroAI jump starter is a lifesaver! It easily started my car, and the 6000A peak/27000mAh capacity gives me peace of mind. The built-in flashlight and USB charging ports are handy extras. It’s compact and easy to store in my car. My only slight concern is that the enclosure feels a little cheap – it’s the same one I have for another battery pack with triple the capacity, so I do wonder about the long-term durability. However, for now, it works great, if you just need a just starter and not a portable power station.
