   I wanted a battery powered set of jumpers for my battery since it is starting to slow down and it’s making me nervous. The bonus is having a compressor for pumping air for my tires too. It doesn’t take too long to charge up the battery, and the instructions recommend charging to more than 50% in order to charge the car battery. The charger/pump comes with a nice compact case that also carries its accessories like the charging cable and pump hose. Inserting the charging cables is simple as it only goes in one way. Using it to charge my car battery, it seemed very safe and showed a green light while charging. I was able to start my car easily and it seemed stronger than before. I did not have an opportunity to try to charge a discharged battery but it seems to have plenty of juice, as I was able to also put air in all my tires. The charging cables could be another 6 inches longer, but I could have also set it on top of my battery. Using it to pump up my tires, switching to the air hose was easy. Connecting the hose to my tire took a bit of time as it screws on the hose. I also noticed that if the tire nozzle was at the top, the hose was not long enough for the unit to rest on the ground. It should be 2-3 inches longer. Those are small issues though as the pump shows the current air pressure, pumps up the tires to the desired pressure, and stops automatically. Very simple to use. Now I feel more confident when I have this set in my car trunk for battery or tire issues. The price is a bit on the high side for retail pricing but sometimes ezysurvival.com offers a discount.

   I finally got to use this car jump starter this weekend! I have had it in my car for a few months now but hadn’t had a chance to use it till now! We were at our kids sports game and afterwards one of the other parents had a dead battery, so we offered them to use this and it was awesome! The best part about it is that unlike jumper cables, we didn’t have to park our cars weird nose to nose to be able to use them! They just stayed parked where they were, hooked this up, and followed the instructions. They were good to go in just a couple minutes! They even asked me for the link to this because they wanted to keep one in their car in the future! It works well and is in a compact easy to move bag! I highly recommend this!! This would also make a great gift for a college student moving away from home!
