Plugged in easily into my booster (EC5 plug) and worked well when tested. Appears to be of good build quality. Cigarette plug is solid construction with an LED light to indicate power, contains a 10A fuse. It also fits well into the socket. Wire is 14 AWG. Screw off the tip for access to the spring loaded fuse. Also has a small strip of Velcro to keep wire together for storage.

Not sure why, but this thing does not work. I still have to get out and connect straight to battery. I have a 2009 ford focus. It has two 12v cigarette lighter type ports. This cable was either too small of gage, or there might be a defect. Left it plugged in all day at work so I wouldn’t have to jump again this afternoon. Nope. Jump box still worked, but even being plugged into the car all day with this cable, this item did not work.

Unfortunately, there are more 12v adaptor plug types out than USB. This unit seems well-made, but it doesn’t fit the portable kettle I have. It’s got the same plug type as a portable jump starter I have, just as the item description suggests, but of the identical type, so . . . I could plug my booster cables into this adaptor, but that isn’t something that will come up.
Still. If this is the adaptor you need, this is probably a good example of the type.

As a dad of elementary school kids, I pick them up from school everyday. Sometimes I have to get to school very early to get a good spot. So sometimes I am sitting in my car for up to 1 hour before they get out of school while I am remote working on my laptop. too often I found that my minivan wont start since I run the accessories too long. This device saves me the embarrassment of having to get out of my car in front of all the other parents to jump start my car with my portable battery pack. I plug this into my portable battery pack and wait a a min or two for it to give my car battery enough juice to start. I do have to remove this before starting my car as it will blow a fuse if I leave it while starting. I have a radar detector that also reads how many volts my car battery has so I use that as a gauge to determine if I have enough volts (more than 12 volts) to start my car before unplugging it.

I have been having issues with my alternator not charging because battery voltage was too low, this helps I start my truck and plug it into lighter socket and alternator kicks right in…
or I can give a battery a boost before I try to start, but it will blow the fuse if I try to start with it plugged in.

The product should have came with the smart jump starter I purchased but didn’t. Before purchasing make sure the plug matches the jumpstarter plug in. Really affordable though. Cord should be longer though. Very short
