   This is my second one of these, had the first for about 6 years and worked perfect, could start car several times without recharge, needs to be more than 60% charged or will fail to start car, still have old one and battery will charge through USB still so can still use as very large USB charger 🙂
   Issue with old unit was the starter unit stopped working, so had to buy another, got same model after long search and hopefully will get same years as old unit.
   The unit sits in my car for months and loses very little charge, about 1% a month so fully charge and should be good to forget for 6 months or so without worry.
   Not sure about the diesel starting, as a friend tried mine to start a car and failed to get it to work, just didn’t seem to get the glow plugs to warm, starting a petrol car is instant, just turn ignition and starts just like it was on your car battery, just leave car running and disconnect unit, car battery should then top up enough after a few minutes.

   I bought this replacing another previous model that when I tried to use did not work to jumpstart my vehicle. I was told by DBPOWER that it was out of warranty, which it was by two months. So I thought I needed more power to jumpstart my vehicle. Right out of the box when I powered this on the battery started draining with nothing connected to it. I called customer and they gave me a $10 credit and asked I completely charge it to 100%. Which I had already done but retried. Once again as soon as I powered it on it began draining. By the time I made it out to my vehicle it had drained to 70% and didn’t work to jumpstart my vehicle. I tried turning it off, recharging to 100% and ended up draining again as soon as I powered it on. When I called customer service, they suggested I go through the same process again. I returned it the next day. Back to searching for a better alternative. I was sent a new replacement free of charge and the customer service rep was very kind. However once again, as soon as the jump starter reads 100% and I unplug it, the power starts dropping instantly. I’m still waiting g to hear back about this reoccurring issue. I would not buy this again as it’s my third one exhibiting the same issue. Hope to hear they’ve resolved the issue in one manner or another.

   Updating… I left it on the charger and it finally charged up. Not sure what the delay was, but it sure did take a while to register the need to charge. Felt confident enough, bought another one for a friend.

   I guess I’ll get maybe one or 2 more jumps out this thing before it goes in the landfill. Stinks because it actually works. Wild the the battery wont’ recharge. You’d think that would be the easiest thing to get right, but I guess not.

   If your car battery flat it’s a solution just make sure it has %100 charge.

    Bought in July, charged the device the same month. Used it twice in December (worked great). Now in January, charge is still at 95%. Bought 4 more as gifts. One thing to note: when charging the device, it takes several hours to get to 100%, but clearly the charge lasts a long time.
