   When I connected this to a variety of USB-PD chargers, it always charged at 15 watts; I observed 5V 3A and 12V 1.25A. The label claims 18 watts, but that’s not what I observed. When I connected this to my PC’s USB-A port, it still pulled 3 amps, which is potentially dangerous. The limit for USB-A should be 1.5A-2.4A depending on who you ask. In other words, the Q9B’s charging circuit ignores the 56 kΩ resistor present in USB-A to USB-C cables, so I would only recommend using this with USB-C chargers. Note that the USB-C port is strictly an input. When I connected this to my laptop, the laptop charged the Q9B. If you want to fast charge USB-C devices, you can use a cigarette lighter to USB-C adapter.

   Everything about this unit appears to be of excellent quality. Although I haven’t had to jump start a car with this this yet I have tested the usb ports and the unit charges. I really like that it comes with a cigarette lighter adaptor so you can plug anything that has a cigarette lighter into it. I made one addition to the unit itself. The pack has a triangular orange power button on top. If you just take it out of the case and press that button – nothing happens. There is a small On/Off switch on the side of the unit you must turn on before the orange triangular will work. This may seem like an annoyance, but it is actually a safety measure. When the unit is stored in your vehicle it is possible for something to be left pressing on the top orange button keeping the unit on in storage. The side switch prevents that. However, on a dark rainy night it could be frustrating to be trying to turn the unit on with just the top button. I used a P-Touch and put a label on the unit to make it easier to find the On/Off switch on that dark rainy night (see picture) The second addition to the cased unit is to add a usb-lightning (apple) cable & a usb-micro cable. The unit comes with a usb-c cable to charge the unit, but it can also be used to charge devices the have usb-c connections. So all I can support all 3 common usb connections. (Note: the usb-c cable is not shown in the picture but it is in the unit case) Last, the unit does not come with a usb wall charging / AC block. I added one so no matter where I am I can charge the device itself. I put the 3 usb charging cables and the usb power block in a heavy duty zip bag so when I open the case there is not stuff falling over the place. (See picture) So now I have a good car jump starter and a complete usb battery pack system in one case! Useful for not only a car jump starter, but for power failures, picnics and any other time I need a heavy duty usb solution.

   This battery jump pack is an excellent choice. The battery pack is easy to use and reliable.

   I have used the battery pack three times and it still shows 100% power. With this battery pack you do not need to turn on either the on switch or the power switch simply hook up the jumper cables included, connect the red to the positive, the black to the negative, and you will get a steady green light. Get inside your car, turn off all the accessories, and start the car. After starting the car, remove the black cable first and then the red cable.

   The unit also allows for using the flashlight, USB charging, or with a 12 volt adapter. when using these functions you need to first turn on the switch on the side of the unit.

   The flashlight has a steady light, strobe function, a SOS strobe, and a red and blue emergency type strobe. It is turned on with the power button and you cycle to the correct light stream by hitting the power button until you get to the light desired. Hold the power button to power the light off.

   The USB charging allows for a standard 1.5 amp and a 2.1 amp USB ports. It also has a 12V cigarette type adapter that can be used also.

   The USB C Port is an import port to charge the unit. The instructions say you can use a five amp charger, but I would recommend a higher output charger to charge the battery pack. The battery pack even, if you haven’t used it, you should recharge it every three months to make sure the charge is refreshed and holding. Most likely you can go longer than this but if the charge drops below 50% it most likely will not jumpstart your car. This is recommended with most other battery packs as well.

   I jump started my minivan 3 times and still says I am at 100%. One time the battery was completely dead and it started the car immediately.

   I would recommend it to a friend. An enemy I would recommend buying on TEMU.

   During this stay at home order, I neglected to drive one of our SUV’s and sure enough, dead battery. I tried a jump starting portable battery I had purchased a year ago, and it was so weak the car didn’t even try to turn over. So got online and tried ordering a lead acid portable battery figuring it would be better than one of these lithium ion small capacity batteries. It was rated for 900amps and up to 6 liter batteries, which I figured would be enough for my Acura MDX. I was wrong, barely tried to even turn. So back online again. I saw this. It’s rated for 2500amps. Again, a little sceptical that a lithium ion battery could actually do the job. But to my surprise and my relief, the car started with no problem. It started like it wasn’t even being jumped! It comes with a great sturdy carrier with all the accessories with the exception of a wall charger with a USB port. But that’s not a problem as I have so many extra from every electronic item I buy comes with one. It does have the cord to charge it through a car lighter socket included. Highly recommend this little powerhouse. At 2500amps, it should be able to tackle most any engine out there.
