   Overall, I like the Nexpow “G17 S40 PD60W” jump pack. It comes with a really nice case and is a solid unit. My only criticism is it does not have an override mode that I could find after reading the included instructions and going over the unit very carefully. In my experience, an override mode is very important to get the unit to trigger and apply voltage when you have a completely dead battery. I took the unit apart to check the battery specs. Unfortunately, they’ve laid the battery in a bed of glue. I imagine the part number and capacity are stamped on the other side. I likely would have had to destroy it to get the battery out and chose not to. In the past, I’ve taken other brands apart and found the capacity to be far less than advertised. I am NOT saying that’s the situation here, only that this experience is the rationale for why I always take them apart and have a look. Laying the battery in a bed of glue is a good thing as it protects the unit from damage when, not if, you drop it. Like all of these lithium ion jump packs, the alligator clip leads are too short. I wish they’d make them at least twice as long so you can get the unit out of the way when using it under the hood. Overall, I’m very happy with this jump pack. I do wish it had an override mode. I imagine the manufacturer feels they have handled everything through the circuitry such that it will provide power when it’s supposed to…but I really prefer a way to manually force it to do so. My experience is there’s always something that doesn’t work as expected and sometimes you just need to force these to put out power.

   I think I’ve bought 5 or 6 of these nexpow for every car, the boat and gifts (my sister-in-law no longer has to wait for me to give jumpstart 🙂 ).
   They work great. To my pleasant surprise it started a 5.7/350 boat motor when the battery wouldn’t even cause a “click”. I think it’s must on any boat and have one in every trunk. Also allows you to help others without worrying about your car.

   I’ve had a different brand for years. Got this one for my dad to use on his boat (and car in the winter) and I really like it. I’ve used it a few times on the boat when it has some battery issues and it worked like a champ. Got several jumps from one charge just like it should. Very pleased.

   This is a great product. I put it in each of my cars. My teens found it easy to use and it’s easy to recharge. Battery life seems long as it’s never died and we recharge it once a season. It is compact and doesn’t take up much room . Every teen car (plus yours) needs this.
   It is easy to use and has very clear instructions.

   It’s okay for small cars and light duty trucks, great deal for the price. But bet the other version same company same amp for a little more (light gray casing) works way better at higher loads.

    So I have used this on v6, v8 gasoline engines and it did ok but on a Dura Max diesel engine in a Chevy truck it was a no go! The wires got extremely hot and so did the battery clamps! This is the “4000 amp” version and let me tell you being an electrician by trade there is no way in hell it could do 4000 amps, it would turn this whole hing into a molten mass of junk! Here’s a little info: A 500 MCM copper conductor is good for 380 amps. So there there is no way the little conductor’s on this jump box would handle 4000 amps. The attached picture is a 500 MCM so you see the size, it would take like 12 of these to get close to 4000 amps.

    Item: NEXPOW G17 S40 Car Jump Starter PD60W Quick Charge, 4kA… Seller: NEXPOW Store TL;DR: Measured capacity far below claimed capacity. Deceptive seller = lowest rating. The high listed capacity should have tipped me off that this was likely a fraudulent posting. Measured capacity is only 11877mAh, a far cry from the advertised 88800mAh capacity that the seller/manufacturers claims. I didn’t bother testing the device’s other abilities after the disappointing find. The pack arrived with ~25% power (1 light), so I charged it before testing and it actually charged at 63W… for power in & out, would have preferred it to be at the advertised 60W but due to the fraudulent claims regarding capacity, I’m already giving this 1 star. Would go negative if I could though. To anyone looking to buy battery packs or rechargeable batteries off ezysurvival.com: get a battery tester (cheap ones go for ~$7… could also do w/o if you have something with a known discharge rate and a stopwatch) and hold these sellers accountable. Wish ezysurvival.com could test and delist items not meeting claims, but they probably won’t do that anytime soon…
