   I was skeptical when I first ordered this rechargeable jump starter. I did not think it would do the trick but I figured I’d try it and if it didn’t work then I could write a bad review and return it. Well I’m here to tell you that this thing totally worked for my situation. Small Neighbor Child Jimmy: Hey Mister! What was your situation?! Ah I’m glad you asked Jimmy! Well you see I am the proud owner of an older 2001 Lexus LS 430 4D Sedan. What a beaut right? Well this beaut decides to drain her battery slowly when I’m away from her, so occasionally if I’m away for to long she needs a little shock to get her in the mood to start up for me. So she isn’t completely drained by the time I get to her. So unfortunately I can’t give a consumer experience for a completely drained battery. The NOCO Boost Plus 1000A 12V did the trick for me. I rate it at 4-stars for a specific reason and this is something I hope everyone reads before purchasing. The device comes with everything you need out of box except for a power adapter to safely charge it. After reading the safety manual (which I always do because yes I’m that type of person, in case you couldn’t tell when I was capitalizing on referring to my car as a “her”), they explicitly tell you to charge it with a properly rated 5W or 10W adapter. The fact that the power adapter is USB-C I was lucky that I could find one tucked away because I typically use USB-A incorporated in my outlets. So minus a star because if I buy a product I’d like it to come with everything I need for it in the the box. Thanks for reading! Hope this helps you decide on whether you should get it or not. I appreciate NOCO for their quality. I just got the product and will update my review if it decides to act up.

   Ich bin absolut begeistert vom Noco Boost Plus! Der Starter ist kompakt, leicht und bietet trotzdem eine unglaublich starke Leistung. In mehreren Situationen konnte ich mein Auto problemlos starten, obwohl die Batterie fast leer war. Die Bedienung ist super einfach: Einfach die Kabel anschließen, den Knopf drücken, und der Motor springt an – schneller und effizienter geht’s nicht.

   I purchased this over a year ago cause my mustang battery just died all the damn time. I have used this bad boy dozens of times for myself and even helping stranded strangers on the side of the road. IT IS AMAZING. The last couple times I used it, It had been charged fully, used once then put in the back seat for 3 months, at which time it worked LIKE A CHAMP. There is no better jump box on the market for the money. It has Jump Started full size trucks, A Corvette and a Hellcat. and the best part is, ZERO waiting. hook it up — start the car. amazing product.

   I’m dealing with a hard to diagnose parasitic drain somewhere in my car, these new cars have so many electronics it’s hard to tell what’s causing the issue. But it means that if I don’t drive my car for a few days, the battery dies. I bought a couple portable jumpers and tried them all, and NOCOs are leagues above the competition. This product is genuinely incredible. This can start my car four or five times before going dead, and of course, with USB charging, I can just charge the jumper itself off of my car once the engine is actually started. Pure self-sufficiency in emergency, as long as I have a tank of gas. On top of that, the flashlight is great, and the usb out for charging my phone might come in handy one day. But honestly, the main draw is just the ease of use. All of the other portable jumpers either required me to set the voltage setting, or made it unclear to what degree they were charged, or included instructions for jumping that were more complicated than just “red to red, black to ground, turn the key”. This one really is that simple. It would be a steal at twice the price.

   It’s marketed as a jump starter for gas and diesel cars, so I wondered if it would really be useful for an EV. But after keeping it in my car and using it a couple of times, I can say this thing is a lifesaver—especially for emergencies involving the 12V battery. The GB40 isn’t going to charge your Tesla’s main battery (that’s a job for superchargers). Instead, it’s for the 12V auxiliary battery. If your Tesla’s 12V system fails, you might find yourself locked out of the car or unable to start it. That’s where the GB40 comes in. It powers up the 12V system, letting you open the frunk, reboot the car, and get things moving again. So, while it’s not about charging your Tesla to drive, it’s perfect for those rare “oops, my car is unresponsive” moments.. aka my dead Tesla. This thing is compact and tough. It’s small enough to keep in your frunk or under the seat, but it feels super sturdy. The clamps are solid, and the whole setup feels really high-quality. It has built-in safety features like reverse polarity protection, which means you won’t fry anything if you accidentally connect the clamps the wrong way. 1. Open the frunk and find the 12V battery. (If you haven’t done this before, look it up—it’s good to know in advance!) 2. Attach the clamps to the battery terminals. 3. Press the power button on the GB40, and give it a few seconds to work its magic. That’s it. Your Tesla should come back to life!! Here’s some tips for ya; Keep It Charged The GB40 holds a charge for up to a year, but it’s smart to top it off every few months or after you use it. Use It as a Power Bank It has a USB port, so you can charge your phone or other devices. This is super useful on road trips or if your phone is dying and you just need a charger (conveniently in the back of your trunk booyeah). Keep it somewhere easy to grab, like the frunk or under the seat. It’s small but powerful. Works perfectly for the Tesla 12V system. Safe and easy to use, even if you’re not super techy. Doubles as a power bank and flashlight, which is great for road trips. Built like a tank.
