   PROS: In a pinch, its really handy to have!

   CONS: Takes a while to fully charge when low, nearly a whole day. The charging indicator doesn’t seem to function correctly and requires a periodic reset (stop the charge, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect the USB charger) to get the right charge indication.

   It’s gotten me out of bind a few time already. Easily jump starts a BMW 545i when the car battery gets too weak. I even used it to jump start a few lawn mowers. When you need it it’s great to have. It takes awhile to recharge though so plan for that if you’re juggling weak batteries. The cable accessories can get a little overwhelming to manage but luckily it all stows nicely in the carrying container. I only wish that the clamping cables were a bit longer to accommodate terminals wider apart. There’s some nuance with it comes with the cable attachments. Treat them gently. Don’t force connections and exercise care when handling so to not break the plastic couplers. Otherwise its fairly sturdy.

   It’s now September 2024 (a day before the Trump and Harris debate). This jump starter rocks, still holds a charge and was an excellent bang for my buck(s) back in October of 2021. I’ve used it countless times on my Honda Odyssey (and, within 15 seconds of attaching-the green light blinks it’s way to a steady/solid greenlight, which means it’s ready to start your engines). I’ve used it on other stranded vehicles throughout all four seasons, but more specifically in the unpredictable fall to spring seasons–and It has never failed me yet.. The case it came with is sturdy and still looks somewhat flawlessly new. Haven’t used some of the gadgets it came with, because I had so many “C” and “USB” cables lying around the house, (like so many of you) long before I even knew this thing existed and long before I knew I needed one. Long story short, it’s been a super life saver, keeps me stress free and I refuse to go on the road without it. As long as it’s fully charged, I find it to be just as reliable as my cellphone and will not head before on my daily journey. I know nothing last forever, but this particular Solvrin brand has been good to me, therefore meritting this heartfellt, honest shout-out of a review. Would I repurchase this again for myself or gift it to someone else? My final answer is “yes I would.”

   First of all, I have tried a few of these jump packs and had never heard of this brand, but with the reviews I thought I would give it a try. These make great gifts for the family to be sure they aren’t stranded on their own, or have to try to find someone to give them a jump, giving peace of mind. I wanted to give this product a good test before leaving a review. I drained my battery to around 10v several times, and then used the Solvtin jump pack to get it started. Test vehicle was a 98 Cherokee with a 4.0L engine. I did this three times, and only used one bar of battery. I had my lights, radio, heater, etc. all on for about a half hour. In the video, I jumped the vehicle at about 10.5 volts and had no problem getting it started. Overall I was impressed with the package/fit and function of the product. The case it came in was very nice as not all of them come with this. I also appreciate that it not only comes with a A to C charge cable (and Type C cables are always nice to see now), but also a C to C cable as well. The flashlight is also usably bright, and all connections have good water resistant covers to help prevent moisture ingress. In summary, there are more powerful jump starters on the market, but this unit will be more than sufficient for most consumers short of diesel truck owners (which I did not test as my engine size is above the claimed capacity for this jump starter). For the money, this product provides a good value that I would recommend to others.
