   I have reviewed several of these battery jump starters over the past few years. This one is a bit on the pricey side considering the amperage it can put out, as well as being physically smaller than most. I wouldn’t try and jump start my Mercedes diesel motorhome battery with this, but for most smaller cars like my Prius, it’s almost overkill. My experience has been that they will hold a charge enough to start your car at least a year or so after sitting in your trunk. I generally pull them out every fall when the weather starts getting cold, and drain them a bit using the USB output to run something, and then charge them back up for the winter months when batteries generally fail if they are going to that year. Cycling these like that every once in a while is a good thing and keeps them healthy. So far this one has worked great, but knocking off one star because is it not as economical as some of the others.

   Okay, so I got this car battery jumper because my dad said we might need it. It’s actually really cool—it’s small, kinda like a big phone, but it starts a car! We used it on my mom’s car when it wouldn’t start, and it worked in like 10 seconds. The cables are easy to attach, and it even has a flashlight, which I thought was awesome because I could use it for camping too. I don’t know much about cars, but this thing made me feel like a pro. Totally recommend!

   We’ve gone through several pairs of jumper cables that my husband hated so we tried this. He loves it. The clamps are apparently the kind he likes and I like that it’s easier for me to store in the car. Also gives me peace of mind that I could charge my phone in a pinch if needed.

   I like the fact that it’s very powerful and it works like it should .I also like the fact that it comes in a nice case . The jump starter I bought for my truck didn’t come with the case and I ended up buying one just to protect it . I got this jump starter for my SUV that I only put on a few hundred miles a year. After being parked 7 or 8 months there’s a good possibility that the battery doesn’t have enough charge to start it on a frigid day. I haven’t needed the jump starter but I did test it out on an old Jeep with the dead battery and it worked great.

   3,500 amps!! So this is a handle held nuclear power plant? Listen, this isn’t a jump pack, it’s a booster. This little thing isn’t going to take a vehicle with a completely drained battery and start it up. It’s running some cheap silicone coated 10 gauge wire, at most it’s going to delivery 45-50 amps on a good day, which may be enough to start a car with a battery that is starting to die, which is why it’s classified as a booster not a jump pack. Opening up the little cable box reveals the truth, The reverse polarity circuit is protected by a relay, thats max amperage is 70 amps. Popping a MM on this shows it’s outputting 16.5v at zero load, I have no way to replicate load but I have a feeling from what I’m seeing this thing will drop down to about 10v when there is an actual starting demand applied to it. | The materials and basic science don’t match their claims. Use it to start a lawnmower, scooter or maybe a very small car, but don’t be surprised it the wires coming out if it start to melt.
