This replaces my 25+ year old Schumacher battery charger. I recently used this new one to recharge a totally discharged big battery from an old Cadillac…. worked great!!

This is used everyday in a commercial automotive shop, primarily for keeping batteries charged during the endless electric and hybrid cars module programming. Always keeps batteries where you want them, once it detects the battery has been charged enough it goes green and reduces just to a maintain flow. Automatically switches from high charge to low charge when needed. Jump starts dead batteries as well but dont expect it to jump start anything crazy. Excellent product, the crew loves using it.

Operates as designed for my year of ownership at this point. I keep it for jumpstarting and battery maintenance on an rv, 2 boats, a side by side, and 2 trucks. Haven’t had it even so much as heat up more than a couple degrees above ambient in all weather conditions. I don’t recommend throwing it around but it appears pretty sturdy considering as much abuse as it’s taken.

Working very well for my needs of charging totally dead golf cart six volt batteries in sequence. Sturdy item.

Thus far, “subject” of review seemed to work efficiently & effectively compared to my previous charger, though i personally find subject rather heavy. Subject seemed to charge much quicker to 100% on the one marked 2-6A button than my previous charger. on the other hand, my previous (much lighter) charger, before it became inoperative, was limited to charging 2-4-6A (3 separate buttons; i always had it charging at 6A), while subject ranges fr. 2-6A to 30A & 100A (3 buttons), ostensibly to enable it to speed up charging as well as to jump-start the car if required, both of which (30 A & 100A) i have not attempted as i had primarily intended its use to trickle charge the car battery during minus C degrees in Vancouver, B.C. winter (admittedly usually mild winter), as the car was always parked outside.

This item is heavy, which means it’s built well. Priced very well. Satisfied.

It comes with a US plug and is incompatible with UK 240 volt supply. There is no indication of this either on the ezysurvival.com page or on the charger’s box. A massive inconvenience returning it to the USA

I bought this 3 years ago, the first one that ezysurvival.com shipped to me ended up being a used dirty scratched up unit that didn’t work right, it was suppose to be a new unit. ezysurvival.com returned it and shipped me this unit, it looked new but the box didn’t have a user manual. The first time I used it on my car battery it seemed to function right, it went right to work and even did the recondition function and after it was finished charging it turned off. The next time I used it on the same battery it charged the battery but never would turn off, the battery % button wouldn’t work either, never really knew if the battery was completely charged or not. Now it’s 8/24 and I put the charger on my camper battery bank four 6volt batteries wired as one 12volt battery. At first it went to work but seemed to be working to hard, so I broke the battery bank in half, charging just two 6volt batteries as one 12volt but the charger still worked to hard, the cables and clamps got hot. The charger never turned off but it did charge the batteries. I then hooked it up to the other set and it didn’t do much, the cooling fan came on as soon as it was plugged in but it was not charging, panel lights were on but nothing, it’s dead. Used 3 times and that’s it. Schumacher used to be a great quality product but not anymore. My unit shows it was made in Mexico, not in the USA. Of course it’s out of warranty. Not happy in the least.

This charger is really a great thing to have around. It does so much and pretty easy to use as well.

High quality charger. Automatically chooses the battery type. The digital readout is nice. I really like seeing the percentage readout. I docked one star bc there isn’t a good way to manage the cables and power cord. I wish they would add some type of built in cord wrap or something. Other than that, no additional complaints.
