I’m an electrical Engineer, with 33 years experience working for the largest diesel manufacturer in the word, I’ve re powered several vehicles, I know what I’m doing, This is the worst battery charger I’ve ever used. You cant tell if its working, it tells me good batteries are bad, I missed my return window and I’m upset now, I’m going to make sure every car forum and diesel forum in the Midwest knows what a piece of junk this thing is

As others have mentioned, packaging is very weak and allows for scratches and dents/dings. Once you get past that the unit is not as heavy and awkward to carry as others have indicated. The instruction manual leaves more questions than it gives answers. Multiple battery type selection is a great feature. Love that you can adjust all settings and then turn on vs. Other always on once plugged in. Because of the automatic delay operation you may feel the unit is not working. This unit brought back a completely dead battery that sat for over four months in the bitter cold. I was surprised and completely sold after that! It took several days for the battery to completely charge, but no iisues since!

several batteries and no luck. Tested the batteries with voltmeter and shown good batteries at 12.7V

The battery charger seemed to work correctly the first time I used it. But the second time I hooked it up to a battery the unit displays did not come on nor does the on/off control work, but based on the major sparks when you remove the cables from the battery while it is plugged in it appears to be at maximum 80 amp setting. I have only had it for two months. I intend to return it as soon as possible. Too bad. I really thought this unit would be best for my occasional needs.
