    My boss bought this charger for our work dump trailer and it did a little more than maintained the battery. It got it charged enough that acid came out of the screw down terminal on a marine battery. It would then spark so I just thought the connection was bad or loose but it had actually melted the metal like a sauntering iron does flex.

    When I first saw the warning message “Clamps Reversed/Bad Battery, I had not read the instructions yet. This is the perfect example for Read The Freaking Manual, RTFM. The message covers a couple of conditions. If you have the battery charger clamps on the opposite terminals AND also when the charger is unable to get the battery fully charged. The picture shows a 6 volt battery showing 4.57 volts. The charger showed the Red warning light. This is for a dead cell. The red light will also show when the battery voltage does not come up to a working voltage. This is the first time the charger showed the red light. Bought it about a year ago. Thank You.

    It did a 3 hour desulfating process on a 5 yr old lead acid marine battery then brought it up to
    full charge. Have an Optima Blue AGM that it charged for an hour and alls well.
    Seems to be a good decent charger.

    Very good little charger. The 3a charging is great for slow trickle charging and when time is sensitive you can charge at 15a for a shorter cha ge time. Display goes to sleep after a few minutes but you know it’s changing by the green change light below the display. If you want to see the progress just touch any button and the display wakes bake up.
