   My Jeep gets little use. Less than 15k km in 3 years. I plug this in to the cigarette lighter (with adapter I made) and battery is kept at full charge. For the first year of the cars life it has issues relating to low battery. Had the battery tested and it is still perfectly fine. It’s keeping the AGM battery in good shape. I was worried about reliability of this item due to its cost but it appears to be good quality.

   Small, light and super simple charger. Hook it up and it works fine. Using it to keep Sprinter van battery trickle charged and ready to go.
   Only complaint is the clamp leads which are OK for a normal battery, but too short for the Sprinter. I replaced the clamp leads to get the extra length needed.

    I’m accustomed to using heavy, transformer driven car chargers and maintainers, but this maintainer is small and light; weirdly. I am always mindful of the status of my vehicles and the things that keep them running correctly, including the expensive AGM batteries they require. I say that because of short trips, with a shutdown and startup, are very demanding on the battery’s’ amperage and ability to recharge, adequately. After short, or even moderate drives, I connect the Schumacher maintainer and forget about it. I have observed, that to fully recharge my battery after such trips, takes about 4-6 hours before the status light on the maintainer goes from orange(charge) to green(maintaining). I connect my maintainer via 25ft., extension cord. The manual gives instructions on the use of Ext. cords, so be sure to follow the ratings given. If there isn’t an internal battery failure of any kind, I get 10+ years of use from my car batteries. I don’t know the true longevity because I draw the line at 10 years, and replace the battery, regardless. My package showed up early, (Thanks ezysurvival.com) and has been connected and disconnected, to my cars battery, over a dozen times, without any issues. Now that modern batteries cost so much, make yours last. Manufacturers, actually advise a a monthly, to bi-monthly, recharge. I advise everyone to use a charger/maintainer.

    Its my second Shumaker Charger. I love that it has a bright green LED if everything is okay. Connected to 12v lawn tractor, charged on orange for about 5 hours then switched to green. Comes with about a 3 foot charger cord or so and about a 5 foot plug cord. Also comes with clamps or connectors for terminal posts.

    Vi buenos comentarios de la marca, mi mecánico me la recomendó para mantener en óptimas condiciones la batería de mi moto.
    Aunque el producto es de plástico negro, se ve y siente de buena calidad.
    Probé cargar mi batería y lo hizo sin ningún problema en el tiempo especificado en el manual de usuario.
    Tiene sensores que activan o desactivan la corriente eléctrica hacia la batería como mecanismos de seguridad, de ahorro de energía y para el óptimo funcionamiento y mantenimiento de la batería de mi moto.
    Incluye un juego de cables tipo pinza que son utiles para carga ocasional y también incluye un juego de cables para fijar mediante ojillo / zapata metálico a los polos de la batería y cargarla facilmente de modo habitual tipo plug and play, esto último lo considero bastante útil en mi caso.
    Lo recomiendo.

    I would say it works. There was an issue with my car battery. After charging for 2 hrs, the light was red indicating an issue as it states in the instructions. Car needed a battery. I’m happy with it. Great value. The cords were longer enough for me. Very light. Seems durable, unless you drop it. I recommend.
