   I got this to have as one of those “”I hope I never need it, but just in case”” items stashed in the trunk of my car for the inevitable case where it’s needed. The design is really simple: Similar to an everyday portable battery charger, but on steroids (size and capacity-wise), and it comes with a short set of jumper cables. Now, it can simply serve as a portable battery to charge phone or tablet devices (virtually anything powered via USB with its two USB-A output ports). But its intended use obviously is as a jump starter device. To charge it you simply plug it into a USB brick, and using the included USB-C charging cable, plug it in and let it charge itself up. That process does, admittedly, take a while — it doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to charge to 100% (it includes a handy digital display to let you know its charge status). To jump start an engine you simply plug in the jumper cable plug to the battery pack and it is ready to go. Then, connect the cables to the car battery, and start. The plug end of the jumper cables (what plugs into the battery pack) has lights that, depending on the color and flash sequence (all detailed nicely in a fairly comprehensive instruction manual), indicates the device’s readiness to provide a jump start. Once that plug is inserted into the battery pack, it’s all ready to go. I have seen other portable jump starters that require a very specific sequencing of hard to remember steps in order for it to work. Not this one. It is ultra simple, which I love. A drawstring carrying sack, a short USB-A to USB-C cable, and a built-in flashlight round out the features. All-in-all, this is a nice tool to have in the trunk, charged and ready to save the day.

   I got this for my 4 cylinder Subaru. I don’t need a lot of power to jump it. This battery holds a charge for a while (I check it every few months) but you can also plug it in to a 12v lighter plug.

   I’m really hoping we don’t need to use this jump starter, but it’s nice to know it’s available if we do. It came with almost a full charge (78%), and only took about an hour to charge fully. I will be leaving this in an extra car my child uses, so I want to make sure they won’t be stranded. It came in a nice carry bag and should take up very little space in the trunk. Seems pretty easy for my child to figure out if there comes a time it is needed!!

   Worked well with both a 2012 Outback (4 cyl) and a 1967 Miata (very small car) with an almost dead battery.
   Definitely a tool I’ll keep with the old Outback, which seems plagued by battery drainage problems. At least, until I try to finally solve the battery drain.

   I think this is a great alternative to jockeying dead cars around to reach jumper cables over to another car. Dead or hard to start cars don’t happen oftern to me, but they always seem to occur in the worst locations and at the worst times to easily get a quick jump.

   Worth the price to me just for security/insurance for family members who need to drive the old cars.
   I know some of the family have used it for recharging their cell phones, but at least they will remember this tool is there. I’ll have to keep it recharged, but that’s not a major problem!

   Recommended. It has worked with my two oldest cars.

   The UTRAI Car Jump Starter worked fine jumping a 3.0L boxer 6 cylinder, which does demand a bit more than most 6-cyl engines. It comes with a thin bag for the charger and accessories, but others in this price range come with a nice hard-sided case. It charges up quickly and everything works as intended. It does have USB-C 18W, USB-A 18W, and USB-A 10W, so it will quickly charge a phone, but not a laptop, although it should keep most laptops going without charging or charge it when it’s off. This is an average charger for an average price.

   Man, if you don’t have one of these, you really need it. I haven’t used mine yet for MY car, but the peace of mind that comes with knowing that if your battery strands you, you’ve got it covered is kind-of amazing.
   Know why I capitalized “MY” though above? It’s because I was walking out of a local mall to my car, and there was a woman whose battery had stranded her. I simply popped my trunk, took out my UTRAI Car Jump Starter, plugged it up to her battery, and told her to start her car. She was amazed. It’s perfection.

   This is a battery jump pack for jumping a car battery, it doubles as a power bank for charging devices. The battery level is indicated by pressing the side button and the level appears in large glowing numbers. Ut has two USB ports on the side, one is blue and charges faster than the black one. The USBC port is for recharging this battery only, it does not work for output. There is a set of clamos on thick wire that connect to the front of the battery pack with a stable connection. There is a light up pod that shows if the battery is ready to be jumped and if the pack has sufficient power. This has all the codes written on it to make it easy to see whats happening and when it is safe to start the car. I like this bit of helpful instruction. This comes in a drawstring pouch, which is nice that it keeps it all together, but offers no protection from drops. The use of 74Wh as a capacity measurement had me misled. This is not 74,000mAh, it is 27,000mAh. One charge of my phone took it down 20%, and my phone battery is under 5,000mAh, so this might hold a bit less than 27,000. Compact size for something that can jump a car battery. The pack is a little larger than my 26,000mAh power banks, but not much. Probably just enough to house the extra electronics for the jumper cables. It’s a solid value for the price. One use in an emergency and it pays for itself, and this is good repeatedly. It does get warm when charging. The plug says it will beep if too hot for a jump. This is probably more helpful if being kept in a hot car, not heat from usage.
