   If you have a slow leak in a tire or dead battery ..this is a must. Puts jumper cables to shame. Also good for if the power goes out for a short time in your home …or camping to charge your phones …

   After using the station to pump up a few low tires, I turned it off and put it in my garage. The unit caught fire and filled my home with smoke and the smell of burnt chemicals. Thankfully we kept the fire from spreading and no one was hurt. Since then, I put it outside on the street away from everything. It had a melted hole in the side and distorted display, but started turning its own air compresser on and off randomly. Very unsafe.

   I initially purchased this to power my Coleman cooler before road trips and on the boat. I have had it for over a year and use it on the pontoon as air compressor and battery jump. It is great in the shed for charging USB items, camping with no power supply handy or during power outages. I can’t say how long it holds a charge because it depends on the usage. My only downer is it is a bit heavy.

   I got this mostly for the battery operated compressor: the rest was just a perk. The compressor is very good. Added 10# in 4 mid-size car tires and 35# in the compact spare and battery was still going strong. Battery indicator is pretty sketchy though. It could use a quick release on the tire connector which I bought separately. The hose is also a little short but the quick connector took care of that. Using it is a little awkward as when you set it down, it always goes down on the jumper cables and light. It’s also kinda heavy, about 20 lbs. It doesn’t come with a charging cord which was kind of a pain. The charge area is small so you need a small socket like an outdoor extension cord. It does have enough storage to hold a small extension cord. When the battery eventually dies, I plan on replacing it with a lithium drop-in SLA replacement to loose some weight. I got this as an open box return and it didn’t disappoint.
