I got these to keep one in every family vehicle. Not much more expensive than a quality pair of jumper cables long enough to be useful. I have tested these with my main battery disconnected, with the battery pack and the car having sat over night below 20 degrees. It started a 3.5 liter V6 and a 1.6 turbo GDI just as fast as the 1 year old main battery could in each car. I don’t see a need to go bigger, and going smaller doesn’t save enough to justify.
