   I purchased this item primarily as car Jump Starter and was excited to read that it could also serve as a battery pack to charge other devices. Well I’m happy to report that it works great as a Jump Starter since I was able to power up my 6.2L Chevy Camaro in a snap! Unfortunately this item does not work that well as a battery pack. I brought it with me on my camping trip (writing this review in my tent) and it struggles to charge cellphones. In some cases the Yesper begins charging my phones but then it turns off after 30seconds. I tried multiple cables and one finally works at all times and others work intermittently, including OEM cables. Disappointed that I was not able to charge other small items such as headlamps or even my father in laws hearing aids that have a micro-USB connection. I tried multiple cables and they all only charged for 30 seconds before the Yesper shuts off. My brother-in-law’s battery pack charged multiple items without problems. I also would like to mention that the USB-C output is quick charging either. I have a brand new NOCO Boost X that I haven’t tried, but if it outperforms the Yesper in the battery pack department, I think I will return the Yesper.

   I had purchased a different product and had nothing but trouble with it. I was really on the fence about getting another one, but my battery died yesterday and I had this sent with overnight shipping and it started my dead car up immediately. Everything about this one is better. The clamps are far sturdier, the interface is simpler, the instructions covered everything properly, I am completely satisfied with my purchase

   Fully charged the unit after receiving. About a month later, went to try it for the first time. Batteries were low from sitting for 3 months. Applied jumpstarter, got green light, pressed boost and the engine tried to crank but only got 1/2 turn. Checked charged and it was at 3/4, so applied it again after reset and smoke came out of the module that jumper clamps are attached to. Contacted vendor and they asked if batteries were dead and what temp. Batteries were at 10v when ignition switched and 9v under glow plug load. Ambient temp was 65*F. Very mild. I asked vendor if we replaced if same failure would occur again. No response, so I contacted ezysurvival.com and was able to secure a refund after 1 failed use 3 months after delivery. Be wary with diesels of this size…caveat emptor.

   Bought this a couple of years ago and have used it numerous times since. I keep it in the underseat storage in the back seat of my Silverado because my Truck is always where I am. I’ve never used it on one of my vehicles, only on other peoples when I’m out and about. It’s very easy to use. Plug the cables into the unit, attach the cables to the battery (it will tell you if you get it wrong), turn the key, and done. I also keep it in the car for emergency power capabilities. I replaced my Stanley Air/Power/jumpstarter with this device and an Dewalt pump.

   holds charge for months (at least 6 months) while tucked away under seat waiting to be used. I helped a guy who asked me for a jump. He was blown away that it started his Subaru without hesitation. Haven’t tried it on a V6 or a V8 yet…
   Nice storage case, and overall quality is great. Better than my NORCO GB40 without a doubt (so far). My NORCO battery wouldn’t take a charge after leaving it unused for about a year. This is its replacement. We’ll see.

   I liked this product, and it performed well when used. However, the unit that I bought self-ignited while being stored and not in use. It completely charred itself. Luckily the jumper was in box and the damage was minimal. If not contained, this item could have started a fire in the vehicle in which was kept. Buyer beware.

   UPDATE to review: Changed the stars from 2 to 4. After emailing the vendor directly, they made this problem right by sending me a brand new charger at no cost. Apparently, their webpage contact page was not sending emails to them. After sending them an email directly, they immediately replaced the unit at no cost. The charger is an excellent device and works great. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 based on the fact that the negative clamp did break upon use. I would recommend this product. It really is a great item. This product worked perfectly before the negative clamp broke. On the 3rd time using it, the clamp broke at the hinges. I was not going to post a negative review here, but…. I emailed yes-per from their website (which does NOT have a phone number) to report this. It is under warranty and this part should be replaced immediately. The issue now…. I got no response from the email that I sent to the company. Not so much as an acknowledgement that I emailed them. I emailed them twice from their webpage and once from my email program. Although I have little confidence they will respond to this review since they will not respond to an email sent directly to them via their own webpage. So, at this point, if warranty means anything to you, you might want to consider a different product and vendor that responds to issues. So aggravating. In the unlikely chance that they respond to this review and make things right, I will revise this review. I am under the impression they either don’t care due the volume of customers they have or someone responsible is just too lazy to do their job.
